Affiliate Disclosure
In plain English: Throbbs.Reviews earns money through affiliate links. This disclosure explains exactly how, in keeping with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's guidance on endorsements and disclosures — and it is consistent with the disclosure line in our site footer.
How we make money
When you sign up to a platform through one of our links, we may earn a commission from that platform or its affiliate network. It costs you nothing extra, and it is how we keep the site free.
Our links are cloaked, but always disclosed and marked
We route outbound deal links through a clean, cloaked redirect so URLs stay tidy and trackable. Cloaking is about a good user experience — never about hiding the relationship.
Every affiliate link carries rel="sponsored nofollow", and the affiliate nature of our links is disclosed here and across the site. We do not disguise sponsored links as ordinary editorial references.
Commission never affects a score or a ranking
This is the line we do not cross: whether or how much we are paid has no effect on a platform's score, its tier, or where it ranks. We test and score first; any commercial relationship comes after and changes nothing about the rating.
You can read exactly how our scoring works, and the trust policies behind it, on our About page.
Why you can still trust the reviews
Independence is the whole point. If a top-rated platform paid us nothing and a mediocre one paid double, the top-rated platform would still rank first. Disclosing how we are paid is part of keeping the reviews worth reading.
